May Skincare Favorites

Hi Everyone!

So May is nearly over…Can you believe how quick this year is going!!!

I thought i had better post my May favorites! So first i thought i would start with SKINCARE

may skincare

The products i have been loving this month are:

Liz Earl Hot cloth Cleanser – You will already know this from my previous post.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Toner astringent lotion

Aveds Botanical Kinetics hydrating lotion (day moisturiser)

Origins Charcoal Mask

Avene Hydrance Optimale Light (hydrating moisturiser)

I have been using these products every day this month and i am loving the effects they have on my skin.

The Liz Earl Hot cloth Cleanser i use twice a day… if you would like to read more about it see my previous post.

The La Roche-Posay lotion is a new favorite in my make up routine.. it tightens and helps unblock pores.

key ingredients:  Salicylic Acid increases the cellular turnover rate, leading to faster skin renewal and fewer clogged pores, which is the primary cause of many skin issues.

Aveda Hydrating Lotion

I used to use this product a few years ago but then stopped due to trying out other creams/ lotions. I remembered how lovely and hydrated my skin felt after using this product…so i decided to purchase again.

I LOVE the smell. Its a blend of Lavender, Rosmary and chamomile – smells so fresh

I need a moisturiser that hydrates without making my skin shiny which is exactly what it does!

Key Ingredients:

Jojoba oil – The oil from the jojoba shrub is a wax ester, which means it’s very much like the natural oils our bodies produce.
Lavender-Soothing to stressed skin, refreshing and relaxing.

Origins Charcoal Face Mask

I really love this mask..I have been using it 2-3 times per week(which is a little excessive but i wanted to give my skin a kick start) I am going to start using once a week starting from next week for maintenance.

It goes on black… and tightens as it dries – some people may not like this feeling but i like it as i feel that the mask is doing its job and tightening my pores and giving them a nice clean!

Key ingredients:

Charcoal- acts like a magnet to draw out pore-cloggers.

Avene Hydrance Optimale Light

I don’t use this product every day but when i feel my skin is particually dehydrated i use this at night. I have found on my skin it can be slightly too rich for daytime use and my makeup sometimes doesn’t sit well, so i tend to only use in the evening routine.

Key ingredients:

Thermal Spring Water – This is locked in to the skin by Meiboserin to limit evaporation.

I hope you like my post!

Would love to hear your comments and thoughts.
