Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation Review

I know this is not a new product on the make up scene, but i have only just given it a try so here is my thoughts…

I am not a huge fan of drugstore foundations, i usually read a lot of reviews before buying one, i guess it is because i have never found one that truly matches my skin tone so i don’t like to waste my money on yet another crappy drugstore foundation that ends up in the bin! They are often yellow based or too dark or too light so i normally stick to my Illamasqua Skin base foundation which is my holy grail of foundations even though it is a little pricey!

The texture is creamy and very easy to blend with either fingers or my amazing Real Techniques Buffing Brush (I would recommend this brush to ANYONE). It does not have any illuminating particles which can leave you looking like Edward from twilight but it is not matte effect either. It has an SPF 18 which is great for everyday use but might not be great for photography – i would advice to check before you use it as a wedding make up.

I often find with drugstore foundations they do not last throughout the day which i really hate – Go out in the morning looking good and come home with what seems like a bare face! Well not with this Rimmel foundation. I find it stays on my skin for a good 6 hours without touching it up. I also really like the smell…not sure if anyone else has noticed this but it does smell pretty good!

It is so affordable. I got mine from when it was in the sale for £4.99 but it is not back up to £6.99 which wont break the bank either!

My overall verdict:

I am impressed with the quality of this medium coverage foundation. Would defiantly recommend for people to give it a go.
