Sanctuary Spa 5 Minute Detox Thermal Mask.

When it comes to masks i usually opt for a deep cleansing / purifying mask like the Origins Charcoal mask which I have used for a couple of years now and it has been great at giving my skin a good clean and keeping blemishes at bay! I recently ran out of the Origins mask and to be honest i fancied a change. I had a search for a similar product but slightly cheaper and came across the Sanctuary Spa 5 Minute Thermal Detox Mask, it was winner at cosmo beauty awards in 2011 so i know t is not a new product on the market but i thought i should mention it to you since i have been using it a lot.

What Sanctuary Spa Say :

This self-heating mask uses warmth to help open up pores so charcoal & kaolin clay can help draw out the impurities from deep within the skin. Containing essential oil of myrrh to soothe & calm, the mask helps to rebalance oil levels to leave skin purified, cleansed & silky-soft.

I have been using this mask 2-3 times per week on my T-Zone area and occasionally extending it to the whole face. It makes My skin feel so soft and really clean too. In some ways i think i prefer this to the Origins mask as its easier to remove and it doesn’t seem to make my skin quite as red as the Origins mask either.

I think its really good value – It is £10.50 for 100ml tube, whereas the Origins is £23.00 for 100ml tube.

Ingredients List: Zeolite, Butylene glycol, Glycerin, PEG-8, Kaolin, Dimethicone, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet almond) Oil, Cetyl alcohol, PEG-150, Cera alba, Xanthan gum, Carbon, Commiphora myrrha oil, CI 77891 (Titanium dioxide).

If you fancy a change from other charcoal masks then I would thoroughly recommend this. It is fantastic for combination / oily skins but might not be so great for dryer skins as the Kaolin will dry your skin.

Let me know what you think of this mask if you give it a go.
