I think brushes are a great investment if you love make up. I do love to use my fingers occasionally but i do find a brush to be more effective and a lot less messy when applying makeup in a rush. It has take me quite some time to build a brush collection i am pretty happy with.
The problem with brushes is that they are so damn expensive… I tend to stick to more affordable brands such as Real Techniques or Zoeva and treat myself occasionally so the more luxury brushes. I have picked out my favourite brushes as you can see from the state of them, They are used pretty much everyday. (They need a good clean) so from left to right…

Zoeva Powder Brush (£11.50) – I love this brush for dusting over a bit of setting powder. Its has a super soft brush head that gently glades the powder over the skin. It has a fairly short handle so its a great brush to keep in you handbag for midday touch ups.

Real Techniques Duo Fibre face Brush (Comes in Kit) – So i tend to use this brush for my bronzer, its a good brush if you want subtle finish due to the Duo fibres picking up slightly less product than a regular brush. You could use this for setting powder too or even blusher it is very versatile and super soft.

Real Techniques Duo Fibre Contour Brush (Comes in Kit) – I tend to use this for adding a little bit of blusher to my cheeks, Its small so i don’t end up with ragingly pink cheeks from over blushing. The Duo fibres again pick up the perfect amount of product i tend to require.

Zoeva Silk Finish Brush (£11.50) – This is probably my favourite foundation brush at the moment, Its the perfect sized brush, Its compact brush head give a nice smooth & flawless finish (obviously depending on the foundation) and buffs product into the skin really nicely.

No7 Lash Curlers (£8.00) – These are probably not the best lash curlers available on the market but to be honest they do the job ok for me and they were fairly inexpensive at £8.

Nanshy 4-in-1 Beauty Blending Sponge (£5.95) – I love applying my concealer with this little sponge, It gets into the knocks and crannies on your face and covers blemishes and imperfections beautifully.

Which make up brush brand do you prefer?
