ON TRIAL | GRADUAL TANNERS

L.E.M Beauty Blog | Gradual self tanners

Since I am a fair skinned girl the option to get a lovely natural golden tan is not applicable for me. Instead of the usual tanning products like the St Tropez & other similar products where you have to leave it on then wash off after 6 hours I have been dabbling with gradual tanners to achieve my off white tan.

Clarins Radiance-Plus Golden Glow Booster (Body) £26.00 – So, these are a bit of a different concept to the next two products. Clarins have  designed a custom made tanner, basically you add up to 6 drops per body part to your usual body lotion, serum, oil etc and apply all over the body. I think this is a really great idea because some gradual tanners may not be rich enough for drier skin types therefore you can use your everyday moisturiser and get a tan at the same time. I am going away in September and will be taking this little 30ml bottle with me to add to my aftersun. The only down side to this tan is that it is a bit faffy so for this reason i would rate it 8/10

St Tropez Gradual Tanning Lotion Med/Dark £8.99 – I have gone through numerous tubes of this, I think St Tropez has a really natural look. I would advise to go for the Med/Dark shade because it gives a better colour after the first application. I only use this a couple of times per week, Its pretty streak free (I have had a couple of slip ups where it wasn’t rubbed in properly) I don’t find this to smell of the usual biscuit scent but that is due to the fact that the lotion is heavily scented. I am on with the smell now although i did find it over powering at first, i tend to apply it at night waking up with a nice, natural looking tan in the morning. I am going to give this a 9/10

Bondi Sands Every Day Tanning Milk SPF 15 £11.99 – This is a recent purchase for me. I saw the very gorgeous Lydia Millen recommend it on her You Tube video. Basically she could wear a paper bag and make it look hot. Never the less I bought it last week and i have been trying to use it every night after a shower. I am going to do a full review of this later on the blog so i can go into more detail, however the tan is very very subtle so it does need to be applied on a regular basis. This is the most hydrating gradual tanner I have ever used and the product feels really nice on the skin, It also has an SPF 15 which is great too.  However I like to use this at night on freshly showered skin because it does take a little longer that the St Tropez to skin into the skin. So far i have found it to make my skin feel super soft and it does give a hint of colour and no streaks as of yet! The coco butter scent isnt my favorite but its not too strong that i can not live with it.

This for me comes in at a 7/10. In my opinion it could do with a little more tan in the formula.

I am thinking of doing this on trial series more often, What do you think?
