Eyeshadow is a stage I always forget in my make up routine, however recently I have been loving redish tones on the lids, The Zoeva Cocoa Palette has a gorgeous shade of red with an undertone of  gold in too! Recently I stumbled on the Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24h cream shadow in the shade Metallic Pomegranate. I have tried a few of these cream shadows from Maybelline before and love them, they’re staying power is beyond belief. I have fairly oily eye lids anyway so usually I get a lovely crease right around midday but these stay put all day and night.

The cream formula allows a bit of blending time before setting to a powder like finish, I found the easiest way to apply is fingers then a blending brush, I use this Sigma Buff & Blend Brush to soften the edges so there are no harsh lines. I have seen quite a few people use them as shadow bases but to be honest I am a little lazy and use them on their own & for a bargain price of £4.99 you cannot go wrong with these. If you get chance go and grab yourself one of these to try, for a fiver it won’t break your bank balance.

Do you wear bold shadows?
