Skincare & Beauty Blog

You might recall a fairly recent post on my Lush haul (Here) in my haul was the Lush Best seller Ultrabland. This is one of their star products but I have had a couple of issues with it. Firstly I will mention the pros, The Lush Ultrabland cleansing balm feels so gorgeous to massage into the skin and it removes every scrap of make up, so a brilliant first cleanse and it is fairly inexpensive for a Balm cleanser for those with a dryer skin.
Basically one of the main ingredients in the Ultrabland is Beeswax.  This is used in beauty products to bind liquid product together such as the Almond oil & rose water found in the cleanser and helps thicken a product forming a balm formula. Beeswax is a really common natural ingredient and used by so many brands which is great, however for my skin it just didn’t work out! The ingredient can make creams and cleansers feel clogy on the skin and cause pimples / breakouts which it absolutely did on my skin. This is not to say that it is a rubbish product but it just did nothing for my skin and I got quite a few white heads the morning after I used it.

For me this product is just far too rich for my skin, It will be best suited for more dryer skin typer  in my opinion although I have read other reviews on this and the majority of people absolutely love it, maybe its just me? Who knows, but Its not going to be something I will purchase again unfortunately.

What are your thoughts on The Lush Ultrabland Cleanser?
