I have never really found my perfect nude lipstick, previous buys have always had something in the formula or shade that I would change either being too peachy, too pink, or just generally make me look a bit ill. I think the closest I got last year was the Clinique Nude pop which is lovely however this has a shimmer in it that didn’t always float my boat. In one of Lily Pebbles recent videos I noticed she featured Chanel Coco Rouge Lipstick in Adrienne & was instantly drawn to it. According to Chanel the whole range was inspired by the close friends of Mademoiselle Chanel, those who simply called her Coco.

Apparently the formula has had a bit of a re-jig and is now giving more hydration to the lips by using a combination of three vegetable waxes mimosa, jojoba and sunflower. A silicone wax delivers softer formula which glides really easily onto the lips.

This is my first Chanel lipstick so i’m not sure what the old formula was like, but this is a dream to apply. With it being a slightly glossy finish it obviously isn’t going to last on the lips for hours & hours but it is super easy to apply while on the go. I have been keeping this in my handbag for day or night looks as it is probably the most wearable lipstick I have bought. I’m not great at describing colours especially a nude colour but this has a really subtle caramel and a tiny hint of peach in there too and not a shimmer in sight.

Have you tried any Chanel Lipsticks? What colour would you recommend?
