Skincare & Beauty Blog

I have recently revamped my whole skincare routine adding new products in the hopes I can combat the dehydration in my skin. For the past month or so I have been performing this routine every evening and I have been so, so happy with the results, I think I have nailed it in the skin department!

To remove my make up I use Garner 2-in1 eye makeup remover & Garnier Micellar water before using my Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel to thoroughly cleanse my skin. I think this is probably the 2nd or 3rd bottle I have had, It’s a really nice, simple cleanser that seems to really suite my skin.

I only really use acid toners, I have been using the brand new Merumaya Gentle Exfoliating Toner for the past 3 weeks. The Merumaya toner is a lovely gentle cleanser that is hydrating too. I have written a full review here

Treatment Oil

Just over a month ago I invested in the eye wateringly expensive Sunday Riley Luna Oil. A retinol evening treatment oil which helps reduce signs of ageing, repair sun damaged skin & acne scarring among other great things… I will be writing a full review of this very soon. Basically, if you want better skin (Who does’t) then save up and buy this!

After seeing many bloggers talk about this oil I was intrigued to find out whether it would make any difference to my skin, I have to say it’s bloody brilliant. It smells weird but worth it.

Eye Cream

In previous months eye creams have take a back seat in the beauty draw, I think it was probably because I have never seen a noticeable difference until I discovered the Keihls Creamy Eye Treatment With Avocado. This eye cream is the thickest cream I have used on my eyes, it would not be something I used under makeup because it is too rich. However for evening use it is the best I have used. After the first use I noticed a difference in the look of my under eyes, They felt really hydrated. This would be great for most skin types & all ages. I am going to buy one for my mum because her sensitive skin would LOVE this.

A while back I was given a sample sachet of the Keihls Ultra Facial Oil Free Lotion which really got on well with my skin, I had a couple of vouchers for House Of frazer so I decided to treat myself to a bottle of this lotion. It is slightly thicker that my other hydrating lotions so it is perfect for when my skin is going through this dehydrated faze. I have been using this morning and night for around 4 weeks.

This routine plus drinking more water has kept me blemish free and looking hydrated so far. I think I am going to be sticking with these products for quite some time!
