I have seen quite a few reviews of the latest UK release from Bondi Sands. I am fairly familiar to the brand as I have been using the gradual tanning lotions for a year or two now so I went to grab myself a bottle of the Bondi Sands Self Tan Oil Liquid Gold, I was drawn to it purely because you spray it onto the skin and then your ready to get dressed.

Obviously if you are going to be applying tanner then heading out you are going to want a product that is fragrance free, not the usual biscuit tan smell you find with most tans. The Bondi Formula is supposed to have a coconut scent to it however after I applied it I just smelt like I had applied a regular tanning product. I went to a friends house that evening and the warmer I got the more I could smell the biscuit scent coming through which was a disappointment.

I was also disappointed with the drying time, It says on the bottle that you can get dressed immediately after applying however I found it to be a little tacky, whether that is just me, I don’t know but I was expecting it to be super dry.

Putting aside a couple of negative points the tan applies really well, It comes in a spray bottle so you apply it directly onto the skin then use a mitt to work it in.There is a ‘guide colour’ so you are able to see where you are applying it to. Although the formula contains Argan Oil I would still moisturize dry areas to prevent the tan from clinging to elbows, knees and ankles.  Overall I would say that I like the Tanning oil but I am not 100% sure if I love it, I think I am just much more suited to gradual tanning lotions but I will keep using this for a quick full tan effect for nights out or occasions

Have you tried the Bondi Sands Liquid Gold Tanning Oil? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
