Skincare & Beauty Blog

If you read my previous post, i mentioned (Click here to read) I mentioned I went to the Meadowhall Ladies night. While we were there the girls and I visited the NYX Cosmetics counter in Boots, If you are in Sheffield I would suggest you give it a visit it is a pretty extensive range. Obviously I could not leave the shop empty handed so here is what I bought.

NYX Butter Gloss In Creme Brulee (£5)

I have not wore lip gloss in quite some time but this one seems to have be a slapped on my lips every day since buying it. As the name would suggest the formula is really buttery soft with a decent pigment to it. This can be worn alone on the lips or over the lip of a nude lip liner or even layered over a lipstick. Creme Brulee is a perfect nude shade (Slightly pinky undertone) and one you can apply on your lips without using a mirror. Obviously with it being a gloss the staying power isn’t amazing but its not too bad. When it does wear off it leaved a really nice look on the lips. I think they are a total bargain and have actually been back to buy more since writing this post…

NYX Tinted Brow Mascara (£5.50)

Brow products are not something I try out a lot, I tend to stick to my Soap & Glory Archery however this particular day I was having a brow nightmare so thought I would test it out. The mascara wand is a little large than I have seen on previous brands however it does seem to work quite effectively. With a few quick strokes my brows were darker and set in place without giving that awful crispy look & feel. If you are not someone who likes to faff about with brow pencils then give this a try. You will be outta the door with perfect brows in no time.

Have you given anything a try from NYX? Please let me know of anything else I should buy.

Just a little side note : NYX are part of the L’Oreal Group who are known for selling their product in the Chinese market therefore allowing the products to be tested on animals. NYX have confirmed they will not allow testing on animals for their products therefore remain cruelty free
