On Saturday Dave & myself was invited to Napoleons on Ecclesall Road for a night of food, cocktails, roulette & Black Jack. Obviously I was excited to be invited because the food is gorgeous and it is always a great atmosphere.
The award-winning 110 seater restaurant offers a contemporary dining experience in relaxed and elegant surroundings. The food has many influences and stays true to their principles of good quality, taste and presentation. With a new menu designed every month by the head chef Richard Burden.
We were invited to sample the Dine In Style evening which consists of a 3 course meal, A drinks Voucher & a £5 Gaming chip all for a set price of £23 Sunday – Friday & £28 on Saturdays.
Arriving at around 7pm We were greeted by the nicest staff who offered us a couple of drinks from the cocktail menu. I opted for a Raspberry Daiquiri, Dave chose a Long Island Ice Tea. Zoe behind the bar was super friendly and helped us with our choice, She even made me a drink that wasn’t on the menu.
We were the seated at our table in the restaurant and ordered our food. I chose Crab & Crayfish Cocktail for starters, Pork Fillet, ribs And spring roll with a sticky sauce and a apple tartin, Elderflower Creme Brulee with a cookie and fruit compote for desert. All three course were gorgeous and the food was beautifully presented. Dave Opted for Grilled Asparagus, Poached egg with Panchetta and saffron hollandaise sauce for his starter. Char grilled Rib eye of beef for his main and bourbon banana fritter which was strange but really nice. We were absolutely stuffed and both of us had to leave some of our deserts.
The Casino is set apart from the restaurant so once we finished our meal we headed downstairs to use our £5 gaming chip. Dave headed straight for the Black Jack table where as I am more of a roulette girl. An hour later we cashed out and headed home with our winnings. We left around 11pm however if you stay till midnight on Fridays & Saturdays there is a Live DJ who plays till 3am!
If you are in Sheffield I would highly recommend visiting Napoleons Casino for food & a lot of fun.
