Ruth Crilly (amodelrecommends.com) mentioned this foundation in a recent video, She is someone who I really trust especially with foundations, she is totally honest and has very similar skin to me (on camera it seems). I saw her skin on this one particular Video and it was absolutely flawless, I had to grab that foundation and give it a try.
You know how I bang on about how amazing the Born This Way Foundation is? Well, I think I have found a foundation that I love just at much, maybe if not more….? The Dior Skin Forever Foundation is a long wear, shine control foundation that give the skin a really flawless satin finish. Ruth said she found it to be a full coverage foundation however I would have to say on my skin it was medium to full. If I have spots I definitely need to touch up with concealer because the foundation alone doesn’t quite cover the redness of the spot.
The fluid is a lovely lightweight texture that applies onto the skin really well, I like to use my super soft Bobbi Brown Full coverage face brush (Full review here) and really buff it into the skin which literally takes seconds. Now, my skin is most definitely combination to oily and I feel absolutely no need to powder my T-Zone with this foundation, Its brilliant. I tend to apply this about 8am and remove my makeup between 7pm-9:30pm and there is very minimal movement, the longevity is possibly the best I have used.
The packaging is really luxe, the frosted glass bottle holds 30ml of fluid. The product is dispense via a pump which is just the right amount for my moon face! one thing to note, This foundation is fairly heavily scented. I love the fragrance of it however if you suffer with sensitivity then you may want to just try it before you buy it.
This has fast become one of my favourite makeup items I own, If you have combination / oily skin and like to go a little more high end (£33) with your foundations I would recommend this one which is available from Escentual or John Lewis
Have you given this a try?
