Skincare & Beauty Blog

It is around this time of the year that I always like to do a little round of of my skincare & beauty favorites, The things I love to use on a weekly if not daily basis.

I have bloody loads of beauty products in my draws but I always seem to head for these products. Some of them I don’t have at the moment to include in my images however it doesn’t mean that I don like them its just that I have used them up! scroll down  for more…..

I have done a full review of the two Frangipani products I got in a QVC kit. The Frangipani range is my absolute favourite body range and something I have loved for many many year! Read my full review here. I am also a big, big fan of the Pro collagen Marine Cream. The gel – cream formula makes it lightweight and easy to melt into the skin. I like to use this in the evenings before my facial oil. It is one of their Hero products so its had plenty of coverage over the years, It is a lovely cream for those looking to add moisture and plump out those fine lines. If you are looking to start using anti ageing creams then this one is a good place to start. Use on a regular basis for smooth, supple hydrated skin. After using this in the evenings I like to use the Elemis Superfood Facial Oil, it is something I was sent about 4/5 months ago. I have used so much of this oil it has now taken pride of place on my bedside table for the last step in my skincare before going to sleep. This is a product for those who are looking to improve the radiance of their skin. The ingredients in the formula are packed with goodness for the skin.

Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Mask is something I have been using for over a year. I am still on my original pot so it is great value. A little really does go along way. You only need one use of this mask to realise how fantastic it is. It is a super powerful exfoliator so it makes your skin go quite pink but after I wash it off my skin feels so bright, clean & refreshed! So the mask works 3 ways, the pumpkin enzymes dissolve dead skin calls that are on the surface of the skin, The Alpha Hydroxy Acids & Aluminum Oxide crystals to instantly boost radiance. the grains in the mask help to lift dead skin cells and bring. If you are to buy one thing from this post, let it be this. I love the stuff!

Serum wise I have tried a few over the years. The one I go back to all of the time is the Vichy Aquilia Thermal Serum. It gives long lasting hydration for dehydrated and/or sensitive skin. I have probably repurchased this about 6 times over. I like the texture of the formula. It works well under most of my moisutrisers and give my skin the hit of hydration it lacks during the winter months especially. Its quite affordable ( as serums go) so definitely worth checking out if dehydration is your main concern. My only complaint with this product is that I use it fairly quickly, I wish they offered a larger size!

My favourite cleanser this year has been the Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel. Again this is a repurchased item which means I must really like it. pretty great for most skin types this brightens my skin leaving it feeling clean, hydrated and plumped.

For Make up, I am still obsessed with my Bobbi Brown Medium Bronzing Powder. I use it every day to warm up my skin and make me look slightly more alive. I also really enjoy using the Dior Makeup Forever Foundation. It is a fantastic formula for my combination skin and leaves my base looking even with a satin finish.

There are probably loads that I have missed off the list but these were the obvious choices. What are your top products of 2016?
