Skincare & Beauty Blog

I only bought this cley mask the other day however I couldn’t wait to write my thoughts down on my blog. I love a powerful face mask, I constantly bang on about the Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Mask but I have another one to add to the collection.

Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay is claimed to be the “world’s most powerful facial” but its uses don’t stop at the face. You can use this  for so many other skin problems such as body wrap, bath soak, foot soak, chilled knee or elbow packs and insect bites.  I was really excited to try this mask out because it was really cheap. This large 1lb tub cost me £13 from Amazon. I would not say the packaging is particularly pretty but if the actual product is brilliant then I don’t mind iffy packaging.

So how do you use the Mask? in the tub is clay powder, You mix equal parts powder with either water or apple cider vinegar adjusting the ratios slightly if you have made it too runny or too thick. When you mix the mask it is important that you use non metal bowl and spoon, I use a little dish from Waitress and to mix I use my Body shop foundation brush. I never use it for foundation I bought it purposely for applying face masks. Mix the mask and apply to the whole face, make sure to leave a fairly decent gap around the eye socket because this mask tightens very quickly and can irritate the eyes if it is applied too close. If you have fairly sensitive skin I would only leave the mask on for around 5-10 minutes however if your skin can withstand longer then I leave it on for 20-30 minutes. As i mentioned the mask tightens really quickly  which of course makes your skin go really red! so be prepared not to go out of the house for a while till the redness calms down.

The mask is BRILLIANT! my face felt so clean, bright and fresh after I removed the mask. I have been using this about twice per week just to keep my skin clear and fresh but you can use it much less as a really deep clean mask. This is a good mask from people who suffer with breakouts, oily skin, blackheads, dullness. I think everyone can benefit from giving this mas a try…
