5 PRODUCTS TO TRY THIS WEEK.

Maybe you got given some beauty vouchers or money for Christmas and fancy splashing a bit of cash on a new makeup bag. When a new year rolls in I think it’s a perfect time to clean out old makeup bags and start a fresh. Make sure you check how long you have had that mascara floating around, they don’t last forever you know!! I have ticked a few things off my wish list and thought I would  tell you a few products I think you should go and try out! I have been really impressed with a few new (to me) products.

Lancome Juicy Shaker in Piece of Cake –  I only got this the other day but I am super impressed. This is the first Lancome product I have tried but I know it is a very popular brand and product so I was quite looking forward to giving it a try. So I believe the original Lance Juicy tubes were quite a sticky formula. This Beuaty Shaker is not stick in the slightest. It’s pretty much a tinted lip oil. The cute cocktail maker style package gives the product a unique look, After giving the tube a quick shake to mix things up a bit apply the product using the soft sponge which has just the right amount of product deposited for a quick application. I love this colour, Its so natural and wearable but I am interested in trying out the other colours in the range, I bet the reds are really nice and easy to wear. It also has the most gorgeous scent, Vanilla. I would really recommend you pick one of these up, both packaging and product are great quality. I am going to be grabbing a few more of these!

Another Lance product which was bought on the same day as the Juicy Sheaker was this Lancome Blush Subtil Cushion in Splash Corail. I have always been into powder blushes but I saw this mentioned on a video by Fleur De Force. Cushion foundations have been a floating around the beauty world for quite a while now but these lovely blushes give a really subtle wash of colour to the cheeks. I think  these are really lovely to take your makeup look into spring 2017. I love this coral shade on my fair skin tone. There are quite a few shades to choose from to suite every skin tone so have a look in your nearest store to try them out for yourself.

Maybelline Eraser eye perfect & correct concealer is a new product to my makeup bag. This winter I have chosen to use this instead of my usual Urban Decay Naked concealer. I have found this to be slightly more hydrating during the cooler months. I hate the foam application but I really like the formula, Its lightweight and good coverage. It really brightens the under eye area. I personally would not use this on blemishes but for under the eyes its brilliant.

The Urban Decay Naked palette again is a newbie in my makeup bag. I love this palette the shades are perfect for my light skin tone. I have not tried every shade as of yet but I love the lighter shades for daytime use, The packaging is pretty nice although I suspect the front velvet cover with become really dirty over time. The brush that comes with the palette is actually pretty good! It’s not very often you find a decent brush with an eyeshadow palette but this is worth keeping in my opinion.

I have been using the Real Techniques miracle complexion sponge alone with the original Beauty blender for quite some time now, I love the finish it gives, It makes my makeup look so much fresher and seems to last a lot longer too. I always use mine wet. I just prefer it that way. It does take that bit longer than my buffing brush but they results are worth it. The Real Techniques sponge is available in boots and pretty cheap so if you can grab one to try.
