A NATURAL FLUSH | BLUSHER EDIT

I am a bit flakey with blusher. I used to love to apply a bit of blusher but pretty much the whole of 2016 was all about bronzer and blusher took a bit of a back seat. On the rare occasion I did apply blusher last year It was always Clinique Cheek Pop in Melon Pop. This is a powder formula that applies to the skin really well using a fluffy brush giving a really natural flush to the cheeks. As you can tell by the picture I am partial to a touch of coral, I find these shades suite my skin tone more than the more pinky shades. this cute little product is a really nice addition to my makeup bag when I actually remember to apply blush, I have started of the year well and applied either this or the Lancóme blush everyday so far!

During the Christmas holidays I did a spot of online shopping, I grabbed a few new (to me) products and one of them was the Lancóme Cushion Blush in Splash Coral. At the moment I am totally obsessed with this. I love the formula, I love the colour and I love the packaging. I know this cushion type of packaging has been around for quite some time now but I have never really been into the foundations. I tried the L’Oreal one and it was ok, but didn’t last on my skin too well. This Lancome Blusher is possibly the nicest colour I have seen in a while and it actually  give my skin a fresh faced look. I used this on my mum the other day and it looked lovely on her medium / tan skin tone. It also lifted her face and instantly gave her a boosted complexion.

Both of these blushes are beautiful but its really down to personal preference as to which formula you prefer. I am not too keen on cream blushes that that is why I love the Lancóme so much, It gives me the dewiness and staying power of a cream but in a liquid formula.

Are you into blusher? What product do you use for a natural flush to the cheeks?
