HOW TO ACHIEVE A ‘NO MAKEUP’ LOOK

On a day to day basis I would say that I wear quite a number of products on my face and people can definitely tell I am wearing makeup, however at weekends I keep it fairly minimal unless I am heading out for dinner. But it got me thinking of different things I  do to create a no makeup look. I have compiled a couple of products and treatments that help achieve a flawless no makeup look…

Lashes & Brows

I could not recommend HD brow treatments enough. I have had mine done for years and I love the effect.. The treatments have helped reshape my natural arch and the tinting saves time and money on brow products. I find that my brow tint fades fairly quickly so I top mine up after a few weeks to keep the colour and definition. once you have your brows shaped & tinted there is absolutely no need for any product what so ever.

For lashes I would also definitely recommend getting the LVL treatment. I can not tell you the difference it makes. When I get this done my eyes look brighter, wider and my lashes are actually visible without being clumped with mascara. The treatment takes about 45 minutes but lasts a good couple of months.

Tinted Moisturiser

I am not usually a huge fan of tinted moisturisers however the It Cosmetic CC cream is a fab colour correcting base product that has a builable coverage. If you want to wear it with a light coverage apply it with a damp Real Techniques Miracle sponge, it just evens out the skin without looking like you are wearing foundation at all.

Finely Milled Powder

To eliminate excessive shine on the T-Zone I like to use a really finely milled powder. This literally removes the shine but it is not visible on the skin at all. For this type of powder I always head straight for Hourglass Amibent Lighting powder . I find that their ambient Lighting powders look amazing on the skin and do a great job of shine reduction. I use the shade Dim Light however there are lots of shades to choose from.

Lips

When it comes to lips I don’t think you can really beat a good balm. I personally love the Lanolips 101 ointment balm, Its not too expensive and the tube lasts for ages. Its really hydrating for the lips and leaves a nice gloss to them. I also really like the Clarins Instant Light Lip Perfectors, I had completely forgotten about mine until I found it again in my handbag, I have been wearing it ever since. Its natural, comfortable, and comes in some lovely shades.

If there are any Sheffield Ladies or Gents that would like more info on where I go to get my brows and lashes done then tweet me and I can recommend a few places.
