Last week I was invited to The Body Shop Outlet at Lakeside Village Doncaster. I had never bee to a Outlet store before & to be honest I thought I would be filled with stock that couldn’t sell in the regular stores but I was completely wrong. The store was beautiful & with some amazing offers. for instance, buy 4 or more items and receive 40% discount off the marked prices. If you are a fan of The Body Shop it is definitely worth stopping by one of the outlets to stock up.
Anyway back to the Fresh Nude Foundation (£15 / 30ml). I was very Kindly gifted a bottle of this to try out. I have been using it for the past few days and I have to say I am quite impressed. First off, I would 100% recommend going into a store to get matched up, Kerry in the Lakeside store took her time matching me up to one of the 16 shades available. I am shade Sahara Light 030. It is a pretty perfect match.
The foundation if a really lightweight liquid formula. It contains Rose water and Aloe Vera to help the foundation keep the skin hydrated throughout the day and to help with uneven skin tone. The foundation gives that ‘your skin but better’ kinda finish. My preferred choice of application is splodging it all over the face and using my Real Techniques Miracle Complexion sponge (damp) to blend it in my skin. This give a gorgeous finish to the skin.
I was a little skeptical whether the foundation would be right for my skin with it being a combination of dehydrated with an oily T-Zone but In actual fact it has been wearing really well. equally it was applied to my friend Aimee who has dry skin and it looked fab on her too. I love the fact that it looks so natural on the skin, it has a light to medium coverage that makes you look fresh and healthy rather that made up. the demi matte foundation also has a SPF15 int he formula so there is no need to worry about extra sun cream on a day to day basis (if you are not in direct sun. For example the UK, where is rains 360 out of 365 days of the year)
I have to say I am really impressed with this foundation so far and it will definitely be staying in my makeup bag for some time to come as it’s perfect for spring / Summer.
Have you tried any makeup from The Body Shop?
