Go back about 5 years and you probably wouldn’t find a bronzer in my makeup bag. Whenever I grabbed on from my local high street shop it would always seem too orangy or muddy looking so in the end I just stuck with blusher. I was then introduced to the Benefit Hoola which I really loved for a while, with its matte finish it gave me a great warmth to my skin. Although I loved the Hoola, I decided to try out some other products that had a similar tone and I also started to use gradual tanner too on my body which meant I had to warm my face up slightly to blend myself together. This is when I stumbled upon the Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzer. This light/medium bronzer smells like a block of chocolate which is amazing in itself but it also has a really lovely tone which is perfect for fair or light skinned people. I like to use this on more natural makeup days just to warm my face slightly without being too bronzed!
If I am after adding a bit of a glow to my skin I love using my Bobbi Brown Brightening blush in Pink Truffle (similar). Although this is described as a blusher I actually prefer to use it as my bronzer, I use it in exactly the same areas as I would a bronzer and it makes my skin much more radiant and gives a slight flush to the skin too. The only thing that I dislike about this bronzer/blush is the packaging. I love the gold mirrored other casing but it just scratches to easily and looks a bit grubby after being shoved in your makeup bag for a while.
When I am looking for a serious sun kissed look I head straight for my Bobbi Brown Medium Bronzing Powder. I like to apply this with my Real Techniques Duo Fiber Blusher brush and build it up. Its quite dark for my light skin but I love this, especially in summer But this is why I tend to use my duo fiber brush just to makeup sure I don’t go in too heavy. It is perfect to take on holiday too!
These are my three most used bronzers, Which do you find you use the most?
