When it comes to makeup I like to keep things simple, I try to use as few products as possible for a fuss free look. At the minute my skin has been really good, I have really paired my skincare routine back to the bare minimum and I have noticed my skin has really benefited from it.
When I have good skin I like to try to get away with just using concealer and a powder for my base & that is where these two products come into play. The Nars Soft Matte concealer has been something I have been obsessed with since it launched earlier this year. I am going to go as far as to say its the best concealer I have ever used. Its great on both under eye circles & on blemishes too. The pot is super handy to keep in your handbag and on a night out in a clutch bag too. I have used it on a couple of my friends and the have gone out to buy it straight away!
Hourglass is a long standing favourite of mine, I bought the Ambient lighting trio, you know the one everyone raved about back when it first launched? I loved it that much that I went and bought a couple of the single compacts once my palette had run out. The Hourglass Ambient Lighting powder in Dim Light is pretty incredible. It gives a hint of colour, a kind of blurring effect which gives a flawless finish.
After applying and buffing the concealer to my under eyes and and blemishes or marks on my face I use a nice fluffy brush to buff the Hourglass powder into my skin until I am happy with the coverage and finish.
I know this kind of look isn’t for everyone but I am all for seeing some actual skin rather that wearing a full converge on a day to day basis.
