Winter is upon us. People are snapping pictures of their Starbucks Pumpkin Spiced Latte’s left right and centre while wrapping up in their cosiest knitted jumpers It might just be me, but this year it feels like we have been dealt the winter card far too early & I’m just not sure I am ok with that… Skin seems to be lifeless and lacking in hydration making it dull and not particularly smooth either. At this stage in the year, I always like to up the ante when it comes to exfoliation. The cleansing brushes, body brushes and exfoliation masks become a regular ritual in my skincare routines. The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution has been a welcome addition to my beauty arsenal. People often hear the word acid and freak out, These are nothing to be scared of. They offer immediate results which everyone looks for in a skincare product, because of this I have been known to get a little bit obsessed and overuse them slightly.
Who does this appeal to? Well, everyone in my opinion. If you have dull skin, oily skin, dehydrated skin, dry skin. I would say the only skin type that would not be suitable is sensitive skin, the acids will possibly be too harsh and cause hypersensitivity. The effective exfoliator is advised to be left on the skin for no more than 10 minutes. I have actually left mine on for longer, Rebel I know. I tend to find it stops working after a certain length of time anyway, but my skin is very much used to acids, new users might want to remove it after 5-7 minutes just to make sure you don’t irritate the skin. I have been applying this in the morning after a shower while brushing my teeth. My skin has felt really lovely after each use, It looks brighter, softer and more hydrated which is all I can ask from a product.
It is so quick and easy to use. I use the pipette and apply the product directly onto my skin and rub it all over leaving a nice thin layer. one thing to mention is the colour of the product, Its bright red in the bottle & it applies a strong pink colour, don’t be scared It is absolutely fine and will not stain your skin at all. Once it has been on for 10 minutes remove with a damp flannel & you are good to go with the rest of your routine.
I am actually going to stock up on this because it’s selling out like hotcakes. Do hotcakes actually sell out? who knows, but at £6.50 for a 30ml bottle I can afford to keep a few backups…
