I think because I am a beauty blogger everyone thinks I love to pile on the makeup, This couldn’t be further from the truth. I actually love having no makeup days. I can happily head out the shops without being conscious of my skin, It’s not in the best condition at the moment, that is ok though, I don’t let that bother me. That being said, I do like the process of applying makeup whether that’s for work or getting ready for a night out. I really don’t use a ton of products on my face. My makeup consists of 3-7 products max.
It really is all about that base, isn’t it? My two trusty bases are Armani Power Fabric foundation which I mainly use when I need something long wearing with great coverage. I love everything about this foundation. Like I mentioned before Its long-wearing, the Lightweight almost runny consistency that gives great coverage without settling in any fine lines on the face & to pop the cherry on the cake, it has an spf of 25. Seriously can a foundation give you any more? For me, it is a little to full on for everyday use and I tend to only save it for best. For my daily base, I use my beloved It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream SPF 50+. This is a fantastic product that I really encourage you to try out, The consistency of this is creamy which is easily blended into the skin leaving your face glowing in the most JLo way possible. Once the foundation in place I sometimes use the Maybelline Eraser concealer, A creamy concealer that leaves my eyes looking more awake and a little less like I have been dug up a year, A cheap & cheerful product in my opinion.
After foundation, I tend to apply the seriously beautiful Daniel Sandler water colour Liquid Blush in Rose Glow. This stuff is actually magical, no joke. The skin looks brighter, glowier (, radiant and just generally fresher. After the blusher, I pretty much dust my full face (Joke, Kind of) in the Bare Minerals Invisible Bronze In Medium. It’s a super duper bronzer that gives a beautiful warmth to the skin. I am a big fan of this bronzer, It makes me look sunkissed, which is always helpful isn’t it. For eyes, I tend to keep is super simple. A ton of Maybelline Colossal Big Shot Mascara and MAC Teddy eyeliner.
All in all, I think this whole look takes about 5-8 minutes MAX. Simple.
