I’ve just sat down to write this post and I really don’t know where to start. How do you describe a fragrance? I’ll give it my best shot because this has to be one of the nicest fragrances I have smelt in a really, really long time, Quite possibly my favourite scent ever. Bold, but true. The fact that Both my mum and my friend have both tried to get the filthy paws on it shows how truly beautiful this fragrance.
Maybe I should start with why they are classed as a luxury brand with a conscience. Each fragrance in the range has been created with responsibly sourced ingredients and eco-conscious manufacturing and packaging. The three of the world’s top fragrance houses behind the Clean Reserve brand was chosen because of their commitment to sustainable and social responsibility. They fund education for farmers and their families by buying school equipment and computers to harness growth and development with nomadic tribes. This is my kinda brand, Anything that helps people less fortunate while still providing its customers with a beautiful product always gets my vote.
Clean Reserve has four fragrance families, Woody, Floral, Oriental and Fresh. I am a big big fan of anything woody & fresh. Clean Reserve Terra Woods (£82 100ml EDP) was inspired by natures imperfections and the ability to see them as beautiful. With notes of tonka bean, textured wood & Madagascan Vanilla. It is a really unique rich fragrance that has a slight masculine undertone to it. Though the base of this fragrance is rich, there is a freshness that comes through. If you are really not a fan of sweet perfumes then this fragrance is the one for you.
Top notes: fresh accord
Middle notes: fresh geranium, jasmine, coconut
Dry notes: skin musks, textured woods, tonka bean, sustainably sourced Madagascan vanilla
If this particular scent doesn’t tickle your fancy then there are so many other gorgeous scents in the range. I would love to try a few more and even layer them together. next on my list is Rain & Citron Fig. They both come under the ‘fresh’ umbrella, Don’t they sound beautiful!
