So, not to go on about the weather or anything, But hasn’t this summer been awesome! Sunshine every day, I just don’t think we can believe our luck. My top lip has never sweat so much in the UK, ever! I don’t even care, I’m loving it! Due to the whole of the UK population banging on about the weather I thought It might be a good idea to give you a little round up of a few summer favourites, Products I have been using these past few weeks/months, so lets get cracking…
GoPro Hero 2018 Edition.
This is the new entry-level camera from GoPro. Designed for those dipping their toes into the action camera world, this camera is a perfect choice. I am not really that into videos, to be honest, I just wanted something I can chuck into my bag when exploring new countries or walking the dog. At £199 for the unit, it is still a fairly pricey piece of kit but I can honestly say I have got my money’s worth out of it already and I only bought it a month ago. Its one of those handy pieces of equipment that you can carry everywhere you go. Don’t get me wrong, It’s not replacing my Beloved Olympus Pen E-PL7, But its something that is a little more travel-friendly. When I vacay’d alone in Bali I sometimes found carrying my Olympus, Phone & all the other bits I needed a little heavy and I didn’t want to attract any bag theft by carrying it around all the time. If I’d had the GoPro it would have been a little more discrete when out and about in the tourist hotspots. It is waterproof (without a case) up to 33 feet / 10m so It’s so handy to take abroad to get some underwater shots but I would also recommend getting a Landyard because I have heard a few people who have dropped them in the sea. not ideal. I have popped a few example images below in case you fancy adding a GoPro Hero 2018 to your kit.
It wouldn’t be summer without purchasing my favourite summer scent. I’m not usually into sweet scents but there is something that screams summer about this fragrance and I just can’t resist it. Its an annual cult product from Estee Lauder and it’s with good reason. I get endless compliments when I douse myself in the scent which is always welcomed on 25+ degree heat. The blend of Bergamot, warm Amber, Tiare Blossom and Vanilla is super addictive and lasts so long on my skin. If you are looking for a new summer fragrance I would seriously consider giving this a try.
Albus & Flora Lip Balm.
I have featured Albus & Flora a few times before on the blog. Rachael the founder of the brand is a lovely fellow sheffielder, I had the pleasure of meeting her at a blogger event a few years back. Rachel is a big fan of an adventure & nature which is how the brand was created. Her background in science and passion for skin care lead her to create this gorgeous range of lip balms. Formulated with alpine rose extract from the Swiss Alps and cranberry and raspberry seed oil from the Arctic to protect against sun damage, fine lines and loss of lip fullness. With a powerful blend of seaberry, avocado and blackcurrant seed oils to nourish, stimulate cell renewal and support skin barrier function. Enriched with jojoba, grape and sunflower oil to hydrate, condition and reduce moisture loss. Lips are smooth, healthy and protected all day long. I have the naked flora which is a clear matte balm & nude flora (pictured above) which has a slight nude pigment that seems to suit all skin tones & hair colours.
Do you have any go-to summer products?
