Regular readers & Instagram friends will know I am a huge, huge fan of the It Cosmetics CC cream. its pretty much the only base I have used for the past few years, Its brilliant (Full review here). I have had about 4 tubes of the CC cream so I decided to mix things up a little and try something new, Well new to me anyway. Nars Sheer Glow is a favourite among makeup artists and beauty enthusiasts alike. Why is Nars Sheer Glow so popular? Could it be the 20 different colour shades available in pink, yellow & neutral? or is the need for glowing skin just too much of a draw? Who knows but this foundation has a loyal following and I was keen to give it a try on my combination skin. As I have entered my 28th year on earth I have noticed a big big change in my skin, Blemishes have reduced slightly -halleluja but I have noticed an increase in fine lines and dehydration, which is why I fancied trying something a little radiance boosting.
The Nars Sheer Glow Foundation is a glowing, natural radiant finish foundation with sheer and buildable coverage that leaves this skin feeling hydrated, more luminous, softer and with an even finish. The formula is really lightweight and really quick and easy to blend into the face and neck with my Bobbi Brown Full Coverage Brush, although I have heard this is best applied with fingers- I tend to not do this because I hate getting my hands dirty. Once blended the coverage is lightweight and not cakey in any way shape or form. Due to the foundation being hydrating I think this is possibly best for normal, Dehydrated & slightly dry skin however If you use the right primer I reckon most skin types could use it.
I like this foundation, I really do but I hate that it doesn’t come with a pump for the glass bottle. You can buy one separately but when the foundation costs £33 I really think they should probably provide one to make the product slightly easier to use but it doesn’t so I should probably get over it!
I have the Shade Santa Fe, Its actually a little light for me at the moment, however, add a bit of bronzer and boom, I’m done. Grab yours here
