Clear & Healthy Skin Routine

Want to know where most of my money goes too? You are looking at it (apart from my house, obvs). Skincare is my biggest weakness. I’m not into fashion as such, I just like boring essentials but skincare is where I go wild and think I am a millionaire. I’m not, by the way, Just in case, you were wondering.

Over the years I have narrowed down the ingredients I know my skin likes & dislikes and really cut back on all the crap I used to apply to my skin. gone are the days of over-complicated 10 step routines. After much experimenting, I Have narrowed my morning routine down to just four products, and here is what I have to offer.

Cleansing – Dr Sam Bunting Flawless Cleanser 200ml £16.00

This is honestly one of the best cleansers I have used. If not the best. If I was to create a bespoke cleanser it would love something like this, it’s effective, in the most simplistic way. It doesn’t strip or dry the skin out leaving it feeling tight and itchy like some anti-acne cleansers, it leaves the skin clean & comfortable. Perfect. I’m nearly at the end of my bottle and I have another one on order. For £16 I think its one of my best beauty buys of the year. It easily removes daily grime, makeup & sunscreen in one fell swoop. you heard me… One cleanse. Dr Sam doesn’t believe in double cleansing, I am happy at single cleansing in the mornings however in the evenings I really do like double cleansing, It’s just my personal preference. If you have combination skin believe me when I say you will love this cleanser.

Pixi Glow Tonic £18 250ml

At night I tend to stick to my favourite Paulas Choice 2% BHA lotion as it contains Saysilic acid in the formula which is absolutely amazing for keeping skin clear of blemishes however in the mornings I like to use Pixi Glow Tonic. It makes my skin feel bright, Fresh and s it says on the bottle, glowing. I have used this for years now and It’s something I always recommend to friends and family. Its one of those products that really make a difference for just one use. I really believe this is something I will have on my beauty shelf for years to come (Or as long as Pixi make it anyway)

Avene Hydrance Optimale UV Light 40ml £14.50

This is a basic but its great. It absolutely does what it says on the tube. The hydrating lotion is super lightweight and really perfect for everyday use. It is clinically proven to reduce tightness and dryness, the cream leaves skin with a refreshed feel and soothed appearance,  If you have dehydrated, Sensitive this may be just what you are looking for. Oh, and It has an SPF of 20 to, can you tell I’m a fan?

Nivea Sooth & protect Lip Balm £3

I finish off my morning glowy skin routine with a decent layer of Nivea Sooth & Protect Lip balm. With an SPF of 15 it hydrates lips and protects them from the sun all year round. It is definitely one of the best lip balms around. I walk the dog in every weather condition going so my lips quickly become dry, flaky and sore therefore I have one in just about every pocket.

What do you use in your skincare routines?
