I have so many clothes & I always revolve around the same items day in day out. Recently I have decided to buy slightly better quality items that I hope will last longer and will be kinder to my bank balance. I got into a pretty bad habit last year of wearing cheap, low-quality item for a night out or a specific occasion and not really think about the durability of the item. Not only do I waste money doing this it’s not that eco-friendly either. I definitely have a more casual style, I rarely get ‘dressed up’, Jeans and a jumper is my perfect winter outfit which is essentially what I have been eyeing up in shops over the past 2 weeks.
I have a pair of Leather Timberland lace up boots so I probably don’t need another pair of boots in my wardrobe but I have fallen in love with these fur lined Dr Martins in Butterscotch. They look so funky with a pair of skinny jeans and a hoodie or jumper.
Right. Let me just start by declaring my love for this style of Levi’s Jean. I have 2 pairs in Black. But I am after a pale denim colour for weekend wear & Springtime. I wear my black ones daily for work, they are really comfy and most importantly, hold their damn shape! I bought 2 pairs of black because I am trying my best to reduce the number of times I wash jeans. After reading something on the Internet I now understand that I have been mistreating my denim in previous years. According to the Head designer at Levi’s you should be washing them at the very most once every 2 weeks, Ideally reducing that further to monthly unless you spill something on them obviously. Who knew!
Knitwear is my thing. I love a chunky knitted jumper, & other stories do them so well. When you find a non-itchy, sloughy but with a little shape in the right material jumper, you must buy it. When it comes to knitwear I stick to the basic colour pallet, Black, Grey & beige, I mean why change the habit of a lifetime ey?! This gorgeous Alpaca blend throw on jumper is the perfect wardrobe staple. If I wasn’t on a spending ban it would have been in my wardrobe a long time ago!
What is on your wardrobe wishlist at the moment?
