MGC Derma Night Cream | Review

I haven’t done a skincare review for a while have I! Shame on me as I still consider myself to be a beauty junkie…

I guess last year I focused on reducing my product use and stripping my skincare routine right back to the basics which my skin really liked. I know have a core range of products and only when something special arrives through the post does it get a place in my stash.

MGC Derma’s CBD Stem Cells & Algae All Night Cream (£80 – 50ml), a rich, luscious night cream that invigorates, nourishes and deeply moisturises skin. The formula owes its efficacy to its extraordinary ingredients – first and foremost, cannabidiol, a non-psychoactive extract from the cannabis plant (don’t worry, this is very different from the type of cannabis you inhale!) Our skin has native receptors for cannabinoids – also known as hemp extracts – making them incredibly bioavailable, instantly recognised by skin to start moisturising and healing straight away. Alongside this surprising hero ingredient, apple stem cells help to restore skin’s youthful elasticity. hyaluronic acid provides unbeatable plumping hydration, minimising the appearance of fine lines. Vitamin C brightens and balances skin tone beautifully and vitamin E provides antioxidant protection to protect your complexion from the damaging effect of free radicals.

I took this cream with me on my travels to Bali, It was in my Long haul flight bag. I never usually take a ‘thick’ cream when I travel but for the past 6 months or so I have noticed my skin needs a little extra in the hydration department…. this could be due to my skin ageing slightly or it could also be down to the fact I’m regularly using retinol in the evenings which causes my skin to flake. Whatever the reason, this cream is an absolute diamond find. It does say it is a night cream but in all honesty, I would you this both day and night. I have dehydrated, combination skin and It has caused me no irritation, breakouts or excessive oiliness what so ever. I have also found my makeup to sit really well on top of this cream. It just gives me a plumped hydrated feel & look, Who doesn’t want that, ey?

CBD oil is going to be everywhere this year due to its positive impact of the body & skin. So what are the benefits of CBD (cannabidiol)

~ Anti Inflammatory (Great for Acne sufferers, The CBD oil will reduce inflammation and help to calm skin.

~ Antioxidant properties which will reduce the appearance of wrinkles & fine lines

~ Help Eczema & Psoriasis sufferers.

If you are worried you are going to get high from using this then fear not. CBD & THC are taken from different parts of the plant, It is THC that gives you a high. CBD oil is completely safe to use and also ingest too… You will be seeing so much more talk about CBD oil this year, Just watch this space.
